Furthering the experimentation with my cups, I began to put handles on them.
Creating an organic tactile surface to engage the hand and then offering up an alternative “utilitarian” feature to grasp in one’s palm troubled me. So I began to stretch and twist the handles to provide more drama and motion and enjoyed the dancer like feel that the form seemed to inherit.
