Hand-washing is the safest method to preserving the safety and cleanliness of your pieces however they are safe to load in the dishwasher (just ensure nothing else is too close to them when loading)
WARNING: Do not pour boiling hot liquids into functional ware! Let cool briefly before pouring to avoid risk of crack developing.
